When and where is AI Week 2026? 

AI Week 2026 takes place between June 1-4. The main event will be held at eBay HQ in San Jose, CA, with virtual programming and celebrations happening across eBay campuses.

Submission: Process, review and acceptance

How will submissions be reviewed?

The paper review process will be led by the Track Leaders. Assisting them is a broad-based committee of reviewers, made up of subject matter experts from across the company.

When and how will I be notified if my submission is selected for AI Week 2026?

Authors for the submission will be notified via email in late April.

Once a paper is accepted, when is the final product due date?

We'll provide guidelines, dates and templates for presenters.

Plan to have your final product Presentation/Google slides due by May 22. Poster due by May 22.

How do I ask the organizing committee questions about paper submission or process?

Email your questions to aiweek@ebay.com.

Travel & logistics

Presenters

Eligibility: If you are the primary presenter for your paper at AI Week, your travel expenses will be covered by the conference. AWFs must coordinate travel and expenses with their manager as the conference is not able to fund.


Details & Arrangements: Specific details regarding your travel arrangements will be included in the acceptance letter. This will cover transportation, link to book accommodations, and other relevant expenses.

Attendees

 

Self-Funded Travel: Attendees who are not presenting at AI Week (includes members selected for Poster Session) will need to cover their own travel expenses, including airfare, hotel accommodations, and any other related costs.

Dominic Grillo is the Head of Technical Success at OpenAI, where he leads a global team of customer-facing engineers and success managers helping organizations successfully deploy and scale AI solutions. Prior to joining OpenAI in 2023, Dominic held leadership roles at Retool, Stripe, and Box, where he focused on building high-impact technical teams that partner closely with customers to implement complex technology at scale.

Why the Robotics

Marc Raibert

Executive Director RAI Institute, Founder  •  Boston Dynamics

Marc Raibert is the Executive Director of the Robotics and AI Institute (RAI Institute) and founder of Boston Dynamics. He is a life-long roboticist, starting his career over 50 years ago as a graduate student at MIT. He spent 18 years as an academic researcher and tenured faculty at JPL, CMU, and MIT. He founded Boston Dynamics in 1992 and spent 30 years as its CEO and Chairman creating dynamic robots such as BigDog, Spot, and Atlas. In 2022 Raibert founded RAI Institute, a research lab working on the the intersection of robotics and AI. Raibert is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, was a founding member of AAAI, named Pioneer in Robotics by IEEE in 2022, received the Engelberger Award in 2022, and received the IEEE Robotics and Automation Award in 2025. Two of Raibert’s robots were inducted into the Robot Hall of Fame in 2008 and 2012.

Tim is an accomplished technology executive with over two decades of experience building and managing platform and infrastructure organizations. Currently as Corporate Vice President in Microsoft’s CoreAI division, Tim leads the development of next-generation AI-driven developer experiences, with a strong focus on Microsoft’s developer infrastructure, metrics, and engineering culture transformation.


Throughout his career, Tim has demonstrated a sustained passion for building platform and tools. Tim’s career reflects a consistent passion for advancing software innovation and accelerating developer productivity. Before joining Microsoft, Tim served as an engineering leader at Google, where he spearheaded initiatives to optimize engineering velocity and efficiency. Earlier, as Head of Platform Engineering at Netflix, he played a pivotal role in building cloud-native services at scale, setting new standards for reliability and agility in distributed systems. His leadership journey also includes impactful roles at Box and several startups, where he honed deep expertise in platform engineering and organizational transformation.


Tim’s commitment to leveraging technology for organizational success continues to drive his work, making him a key player in shaping the future of AI driven developer experiences and platforms and innovation within the tech landscape.

Dean Leitersdorf

Real-time World Models, Next AI-Frontier  •  Decart.ai

Dean Leitersdorf is the CEO and co-founder of Decart. He completed his PhD at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology, "the Israeli MIT") at the age of 23, becoming the youngest PhD graduate in the institute’s history. He finished his studies in just 4.5 years while simultaneously leading research at Unit 8200.


His research focused on distributed computing, particularly algorithms for matrix multiplication. He later applied this expertise to AI optimization at Decart, where the company both builds highly optimized infrastructure for realtime AI and develops its own models.

Mazen Rawashdeh

Chief Technology Officer  •  eBay

Mazen Rawashdeh is eBay’s Chief Technology Officer, responsible for driving a large-scale technology vision, strategy, implementation, and transformation across the company. His career includes nearly 30 years of experience in broad-range technology with Fortune 500, internet startups, social media, and ecommerce companies, with a focus on building and scaling global
platforms securely and efficiently.


Mazen rejoined eBay in 2016 from Twitter, where he was Vice President of Infrastructure Engineering & Operations. He played a key role in scaling Twitter’s business through its IPO. Mazen was also responsible for building, scaling, and managing Twitter’s global infrastructure throughout its explosive growth.


Previously, Mazen spent more than eight years at eBay and was most recently Vice President of Technology Operations until 2011. Before eBay, he spent time in technical roles at LoudCloud and Oracle Corporation.


Mazen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Chapman University. He serves on the board of directors of Quality Technology Services (QTS). His passions outside of work include hiking, soccer, and traveling with his family.
